Since you probably own an RV of some kind, you’re probably looking for a way to stay connected during your trips. And whether it’s for social media or movies, working remotely or sheer peace of mind, weBoost is doing what we’ve done for decades – answering the call with cell signal boosters for all types of RVs. Let’s take a closer look at two of our most popular RV products, Destination RV and Drive Reach RV.

What they have in common

Like all weBoost products, both Destination RV and Drive Reach RV:

  • Are compatible with all U.S. carriers
  • Work with all available network speeds up to 5G
  • Support multiple users and devices simultaneously
  • Are designed, assembled, tested, and supported solely in the U.S.
  • Come with two-year manufacturer’s warranty and a 30-day money-back guarantee
  • Are a one-time investment with no subscription needed

Made by the industry leader

We originated the cell signal amplification industry when our founder and his team invented and patented the first cell signal booster in the early 1990s. Since then, we’ve led the category and been awarded 180+ patents. We continue to work closely with the FCC and other regulatory bodies to ensure that every product we make is government certified.

We invite you to compare weBoost to our competitors. You’ll quickly realize that our materials, design specifications, and quality control far exceed anything else in the industry. weBoost is also the only cell signal booster company that designs, assembles, and tests its products solely in the U.S. And since all our boosters are backed by a two-year manufacturer’s warranty and a 30-day money-back guarantee, there’s no risk.

Keep you connected far from home

Both Destination RV and Drive Reach RV are designed to capture and amplify (not create) cellular signal, and then distribute the boosted signal throughout your RV, so you can stay connected even in remote places.

  • Access to help in an emergency
  • Fewer dropped calls
  • Better call quality
  • More reliable messaging
  • Connectivity for remote work
  • Faster data speeds for web browsing and apps
  • Uninterrupted streaming of movies and video calls
  • Be the envy of the campground

Though Destination RV and Drive Reach RV have a lot in common, there are key differences that make one or the other better for you, depending on your preferences and type of RV. Let’s take a closer look at each one.

General differences

Here is a brief overview of how each solution is typically used.

Destination RV

Destination RV is designed to provide max coverage in large RVs or trailers during longer stays. It combines the mobility of an RV cell signal booster kit with the power of a residential cell signal booster, featuring a collapsible outside antenna pole that extends up to 24 feet to clear obstructions and receive maximum signal from faraway towers.

  • Use only while parked; best for longer stays
  • Ideal for large, towable RVs like campers or trailers
  • DIY installation guidance in the weBoost App
  • 24-foot telescoping antenna pole with directional antenna
  • Requires some setup and takedown on each trip

Drive Reach RV

Drive Reach RV is our most powerful in-vehicle cell signal booster for all RV classes, including motorhomes. It’s designed to provide max coverage in your RV without requiring setup or takedown at camp. The outside antenna mounts permanently to a ladder or pole, above the roof line to clear obstructions and receive signal from faraway towers.

  • Use either parked or while driving
  • Better suited for motor homes of all classes
  • DIY installation guidance in the weBoost App
  • Omni-directional outside antenna installs permanently
  • No setup or takedown needed on each trip

Key differentiator: antennas

Destination RV and Drive Reach RV have very different antennas, each one meant to maximize signal, convenience, and performance in different situations.

Destination RV

Outside, Destination RV features a directional antenna. Set it up on each trip on a telescoping pole and point it toward the nearest cell tower. Inside, the panel-style antenna hangs on a wall.

Directional outside antenna

Destination RV features a directional outside antenna, also called a yagi antenna. This type of antenna can be pointed directly at the nearest cell tower for the best results, on any carrier, in very remote areas. Just download the free weBoost app, which clearly pinpoints the nearest cell tower for you. The app will show you exactly which direction to point the antenna to capture even a weak signal from the nearest tower.

This outside antenna attaches to a telescoping pole that extends up to 24 feet. The extra height helps the antenna overcome trees and other outdoor obstacles to get the best reception. The pole is designed for easy setup, attaching with adhesive brackets to the outside of your RV. It also has a sturdy foot on the bottom and locks into place with cam levers, so it can stand for your entire stay. Despite its height, the pole collapses down to a portable 46 inches – just stow it in your truck or RV while you’re on the road.

Once you get to your campsite, about a 10-minute setup is required to get the telescoping pole up and connected. When you pack up, plan on about 10 minutes for takedown. Because of this, Destination RV is best suited for people who tend to stay in one place for a bit longer, rather than changing location daily.

Panel inside antenna

The inside antenna is a sleek panel design, mounted to an interior wall via 3M strips. It’s meant to stay put inside your RV and match any décor without getting in the way.

Drive Reach RV

Drive Reach RV’s omni-directional antenna stays permanently attached to your RV ladder to capture signal from any carrier in any direction. No need to pinpoint the nearest tower. Inside, the desktop antenna sits on a table or counter.

Omni-directional outside antenna

Drive Reach RV features an omni-directional outside antenna that picks up signal from all directions in areas that aren’t quite as remote. Since this antenna mounts permanently to your RV’s ladder via a 13-inch mast extension, it won’t reach as high as the telescoping pole of the Destination RV. However, once installed there is no setup, and you won’t need to aim the antenna toward cell towers. If you move from site to site frequently or want to use your booster while driving, then Drive Reach RV is probably your best bet.

The Drive Reach RV’s omni-directional antenna is rugged enough to withstand driving and weather conditions. When you mount it, just make sure you stay below the maximum height limit allowed by law. Limits vary by state but are generally 14 feet in western states, and 13 feet 6 inches in the east.

Desktop inside antenna

The inside antenna is a desktop style which can be placed on a table, shelf, or countertop. We recommend a central location to best serve every user.

How to power your booster

No matter which option you choose, you need a power source for your booster. If you connect to shore power at your campsite, you can plug your booster into a wall outlet in your RV. If you don’t have shore power, you can plug your booster into a generator or portable power station.

If you go with Destination RV, the 12V fused hardwire power supply will allow you to wire your booster to your RV’s distribution panel if desired. However, like Drive Reach RV, Destination RV also includes a regular wall plug that may be more convenient.
